Large gay pride festival in Cologne with multi-day street parties and a Sunday parade through the Old Town.
Cologne Pride, with its Christopher Street Day (CSD) celebration, is held in early July and is one of the largest in Europe. The parade moves through the city center around the Rudolfplatz and Heumarkt areas, the heart of the gay scene. A multi-day street festival accompanies it. Crowds are very large, and the city's easygoing character makes it a popular Pride destination.
