Altstadt and Deutzer Brücke
Cologne Pride's street festival weekend in early July, with stages on the Heumarkt, Gürzenichstraße and Alter Markt in the Altstadt. The Sunday parade crosses the Rhine on the Deutzer Brücke late in the morning and winds through the centre via Schildergasse, Neumarkt and the Ring.
Cologne Pride, with its Christopher Street Day (CSD) celebration, is held in early July and is one of the largest in Europe. The parade moves through the city center around the Rudolfplatz and Heumarkt areas, the heart of the gay scene. A multi-day street festival accompanies it. Crowds are very large, and the city's easygoing character makes it a popular Pride destination.
