About LGBTQ+ Liège
Belgium opened marriage to same-sex couples in 2003, the second country in the world to do so. Liège, one of the largest cities in French-speaking Wallonia, keeps its nightlife in Le Carré, the dense pedestrian maze of bars in the old centre.
Moustache Club on Rue de la Casquette in the Carré is a cosy, old-fashioned gay bar and club with drag shows and a mixed crowd, and The Chap's on Rue Bonne-Femme is a men-only leather and fetish bar with play rooms, a maze and a strict dress code.

Across the Meuse in Outremeuse, Aquari'Hom on Rue d'Harscamp is the city's large gay men's sauna, with a steam room, dry sauna and jacuzzi.
Liège Pride, the first Pride held in a Walloon city, began in 2024. In 2026 it ran from 28 to 30 August, with a Pride Village at Espace Tivoli beside Place Saint-Lambert and a parade through the centre and along the Meuse. The older party, Gay Street, has drawn thousands to the Carré and the Boulevard d'Avroy in mid-September.
