About LGBTQ+ Brussels
Brussels centers its LGBTQ+ scene on the Saint-Jacques quarter, around Rue du Marche au Charbon in the historic center, a compact district of bars and cafes a short walk from the Grand-Place. As the de facto capital of the European Union, the city has an international, easygoing community. Belgian Pride takes place in May and draws crowds from across the country and beyond. The scene is walkable and welcoming, mixing small local bars with a handful of larger clubs.
