About LGBTQ+ Arnhem
Arnhem, the capital of Gelderland in the eastern Netherlands, has a small, friendly queer scene centered downtown. Café Colours is the main gay bar, hosting regular events and an easy spot for a drink, and Sauna Steamworks is one of the best-known gay saunas in the region. Arnhem runs a four-day Pride that brings parades and parties to the city. The scene is modest rather than a nightlife district, in keeping with a city known for its WWII history, parks, and the open-air museum. Nijmegen's venues are a short train ride south for a bigger night.
