About LGBTQ+ Siem Reap
Cambodia has never criminalized homosexuality and, while it offers no legal recognition of same-sex couples, it is among the more socially relaxed countries in the region for LGBTQ+ travelers. Siem Reap, the laid-back gateway to the temples of Angkor, has quietly grown a small, welcoming scene.
Most of the action clusters around Pub Street, the tangle of tourist-friendly lanes in the center, where gay-owned and gay-friendly bars like Linga Bar sit among the wider nightlife. The town also has a notable concentration of gay-friendly and men-only resorts and spas, making it an easy, low-key base for exploring the temples by day.
