Rhode Island became the last New England state to legalize same-sex marriage, in 2013. Providence, its creative capital and a college town at heart, packs a surprisingly robust queer scene into a small, walkable city.
Most of the LGBTQ+ venues cluster around Washington Street and the downtown core, an easy stroll from the arts district and the riverfront.
