Manchester, the largest city in New Hampshire, keeps a small, friendly gay scene downtown. The Breezeway Pub on Pearl Street is the main LGBTQ+ bar, known for karaoke, drag shows, and pool, with Doogie's adding a relaxed neighborhood option. Queen City Pride is the city's annual celebration, with performances, vendors, and family-friendly events. As one of northern New England's larger cities, Manchester serves a wide swath of southern New Hampshire, and its scene is welcoming and centered on a couple of long-running venues rather than a nightlife district. Boston's much larger scene is about an hour south.
