One of the world's oldest gay bars, opened in 1927 by Bet van Beeren on the Zeedijk. Famous for its ceiling decorated with donated neckties and its defiant history through WWII, a beloved Amsterdam landmark and pilgrimage site for queer visitors.

De Pijp

Amsterdam's most popular lesbian bar in the De Pijp neighbourhood on Albert Cuypstraat. One of the few dedicated lesbian spaces in the city with karaoke, DJ nights, and a relaxed local atmosphere. Open Thursday through Sunday.

Reguliersdwarsstraat

A large LGBTQ+ nightclub across multiple floors on Reguliersdwarsstraat, Amsterdam's main gay street. Known for drag performances, themed nights, and a diverse mixed crowd that parties into the early hours on weekends.

Jordaan

One of Amsterdam's oldest feminist and queer bars, open since the 1980s in the Jordaan neighbourhood. A relaxed lesbian and queer institution with a loyal regular clientele. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 4pm.
