One of the largest Pride parades in the world, drawing millions and anchored by massive citywide celebrations.
Sao Paulo hosts one of the largest Pride events in the world, the Parada do Orgulho LGBT, usually held in June on Avenida Paulista. Millions of people fill the avenue for the parade and surrounding events. The Frei Caneca and Baixo Augusta areas anchor the nightlife around it. Crowds are immense, and central transit is the practical way to reach the avenue.
