Avenida Paulista
São Paulo's Pride parade on Avenida Paulista, held on the Sunday after Corpus Christi, with crowds gathering from 10am. It first marched in 1997 and reached its 30th edition in 2026, with a cultural diversity fair earlier in the week.
São Paulo hosts one of the largest Pride events in the world, the Parada do Orgulho LGBT, usually held in May or June on Avenida Paulista. Millions of people fill the avenue for the parade and surrounding events. The Frei Caneca and Baixo Augusta areas anchor the nightlife around it. Crowds are immense, and central transit is the practical way to reach the avenue.
