Gay Guide to Rimini
Italy recognized same-sex civil unions in 2016, and Rimini, the Adriatic coast's biggest beach resort, has grown into one of the country's most gay-friendly summer destinations. Sun, sand, and nightlife are the draw.
The heart of it is La Community 27, Rimini's rainbow-flagged gay beach, where a beachfront bar throws parties on the sand every Friday and Saturday through the season.
Nightlife spills into venues like the sprawling Classic Club on the border with neighboring Riccione, with multiple dance floors and a summer pool.
Rimini Pride each June has cemented the city's place on Italy's queer map.
