About LGBTQ+ Augsburg
Augsburg, one of Germany's oldest cities, sits in Bavaria within easy reach of Munich. It has no single gay district, but queer nightlife surfaces through regular parties like Lovepop at the Kantine club, plus a handful of LGBTQ+-friendly bars and cafés. The city's Pride week, CSD Augsburg, runs in mid-June and centers on Königsplatz with talks, film nights, and parties, capped by a Saturday parade that draws several thousand. Local queer organizing goes back decades. Munich's much larger scene is under an hour away by train for anyone wanting a bigger night out.
