About LGBTQ+ Stuttgart

Stuttgart's LGBTQ+ scene centers on the Bohnenviertel, the historic "Bean Quarter" of narrow streets that has been the city's gay hub since the 1980s, with a second cluster around the Heusteigviertel. K29 is a longtime favorite for its dance floor and themed nights, alongside Ruben's Bar Bistro Lounge. Stuttgart CSD parades through the city center each July, ending with an outdoor festival at Schlossplatz, one of Germany's grandest public squares. Germany passed marriage equality in 2017, and Stuttgart pairs a smaller, tightly-knit gay quarter with the country's automotive-industry wealth and a compact, walkable center.
