About LGBTQ+ Atlanta
Atlanta is the LGBTQ+ hub of the American South, with its scene centered on Midtown around Piedmont Park, plus a historic cluster of venues along Cheshire Bridge Road. The city is known for a large and diverse community, a strong Black queer culture, and an active nightlife from dance clubs to leather bars. Atlanta Pride, held in October around National Coming Out Day, is one of the biggest Pride events in the region. The scene runs year-round, anchored by Midtown's walkable core.
