About LGBTQ+ Savannah

Marriage equality reached Georgia in 2015, and Savannah, the moss-draped coastal city famous for its historic squares, offers a small but genuinely warm queer scene wrapped in Southern beauty.

There is no gayborhood; LGBTQ+ life gathers Downtown among the squares and along River Street, where gay-friendly boutiques, galleries, and bars mix into the historic core. Club One, the city's long-running gay bar spread across three levels, is the anchor of the nightlife and a beloved drag institution, while the First City Pride Center, the only LGBTQ+ center in Georgia, supports the wider community.
