About LGBTQ+ Rouen
France decriminalized same-sex relations in 1791 and legalized marriage equality in 2013. Rouen, the medieval capital of Normandy famous for its cathedral and half-timbered old town, has a small but friendly LGBTQ+ scene concentrated in the historic center.
There is no gay district on the scale of the Marais; instead, queer nightlife gathers along the central pedestrian streets, anchored by Le Milk, the city's main LGBT+ bar, with themed and drag nights through the week.

A club and a pair of saunas round out the scene, keeping it lively on weekends.
Rouen Pride each June brings an association village and a march through the decorated old town.
