About LGBTQ+ Reims
France decriminalized same-sex relations in 1791 and legalized marriage equality in 2013. Reims, the great cathedral city at the heart of the Champagne region, has a modest but sociable LGBTQ+ scene in its walkable center.
Rather than a gay district, Reims has a scattering of gay and gay-friendly bars around the centre, from spots like the Pop Art Café to venues that turn into late-night clubs on weekends.
