Gay Guide to Nottingham
Nottingham's gay scene centers on Hockley, the city's trendy quarter of independent bars, clubs, and shops on the east side of the center. The New Foresters has served the community since 1958, joined by the Lord Roberts, the Hole in the Wall, and others now organized under the Nottingham Gay Quarter collective formed in 2024. Nottinghamshire Pride hits the streets each July with a parade that ends in a street party in Hockley. The area is small and walkable, with a friendly, mixed crowd rather than a big-club circuit.
