Soweto Pride

Annual Soweto Pride march highlighting LGBTQ+ visibility in Black South African communities.

Soweto's Pride, organised since 2004 by the Forum for the Empowerment of Women and centred on Black lesbian, queer and trans women and non-binary people. It takes place in late September and pairs a political march with a day of celebration.
