Granada, the Andalusian city beneath the Alhambra, has a relaxed, low-key gay scene rather than a mega-circuit. Most venues sit in the city center near the historic Realejo quarter. Pub TicTac is a downtown institution with decades of history and near-nightly drag shows, joined by spots like Six Colours, the lesbian-forward La Sal, and the underground Eclipse club. Granada Pride brings a parade and thousands of participants each June, with Pride-themed nights at local bars through late spring. A large student population keeps the nightlife lively, and the scene is friendly and easy to navigate on foot.
