About LGBTQ+ Cincinnati

It was a Cincinnati resident, Jim Obergefell, whose lawsuit brought marriage equality to the entire United States in 2015. Fittingly, the Ohio River city has grown a vibrant, welcoming queer scene led by one revitalized neighborhood.

The heart of it is Northside, the progressive, artsy district that hosts the Cincinnati Pride parade and holds a cluster of gay bars, cocktail lounges, and LGBTQ+-owned businesses, from drag-forward bars to a queer-owned distillery. A second pocket of nightlife sits Downtown and in nearby Over-the-Rhine, giving the city an easy, walkable scene.
