Berlin's main Pride is Christopher Street Day (CSD), held in late July, with a large parade through the city center. Schoneberg, the historic gay district around Nollendorfplatz, hosts the Lesbian and Gay City Festival around the same period, and a separate, more political Kreuzberg CSD runs in the same season. Berlin's wider summer calendar also includes major fetish and club events. The atmosphere is open and citywide rather than confined to one route.
