Gay Guide to Acapulco
Same-sex marriage is legal across Mexico. Acapulco, the storied Pacific resort city, has been a welcoming gay destination for decades.
Playa Condesa is the daily gathering point, and its rocky east end, from the stretch called Las Piedras to the end of the beach, is the gay beach.
The nightlife is in La Condesa, just off the beachfront Costera. Demas Factory, on a private alley off Avenida de los Deportes, is the busiest gay disco, with several rooms and event nights, and Soberbia Loca a few doors along does DJs and drag.
Papito's Picante on Piedra Picuda plays banda, salsa and cumbia with drag shows, and Paradiso, on the Costera in Plaza Marbella, is a beach club, pool and nightclub in one.
