About LGBTQ+ Valencia

Valencia's queer scene centers on Ruzafa, a bohemian district of rooftop bars, drag shows, and cafés that has become the city's most visibly gay neighborhood. Punto Bar is one of the most iconic gay bars, alongside the two-floor Deseo 54, known for its drag calendar. Valencia Pride runs the last weekend of June, organized by the local group Colectiu Lambda, and draws a crowd of around 150,000 that leans local rather than tourist. Spain has recognized same-sex marriage since 2005, and Valencia pairs its beach-city setting with a scene that stays lower-key than Madrid or Barcelona's.
