About LGBTQ+ Tulsa

Marriage equality came to Oklahoma in 2014, and Tulsa, the state's art-deco second city, has built one of the more visible and organized LGBTQ+ communities in the region, centered on a strong network of institutions.

The nightlife runs on venues like Club Majestic and the Tulsa Eagle, but the community's backbone is the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center downtown, a hub for Oklahomans for Equality that programs events, support, and advocacy across the year. The result is a scene that feels grounded in community as much as in bars.
