Gay Guide to Rosario
Argentina legalized same-sex marriage in 2010, the first country in Latin America to do so, and Rosario, its riverside third city, has long been one of the country's more openly gay-friendly places. The city has written sexual orientation into its anti-discrimination protections.
Symbols of that openness are everywhere: a rainbow crossing near the monumental flag memorial, and the Paseo de la Diversidad, a square honoring the LGBTQ+ community.
Nightlife runs to weekend gay discos and mixed, gay-friendly bars and sidewalk cafes, with venues like Ludovico and Chavela Bar among the current favorites.
