Portland's LGBTQ+ scene is compact and famously easygoing, historically centered around downtown and Old Town along the Stark Street corridor. The city is known for an inclusive, queer- and trans-friendly culture and for Darcelle XV Showplace, the long-running drag institution founded by one of the world's most celebrated drag performers.
