About LGBTQ+ Vancouver

Vancouver's gay scene runs along Davie Street in the West End, one of the first LGBTQ+ neighborhoods in western Canada, marked by rainbow crosswalks and streetlights between Burrard and Denman. Celebrities Nightclub is the city's flagship gay club, with Numbers Cabaret running DJs seven nights a week and the sports-bar Score on Davie anchoring daytime crowds. Vancouver Pride fills Davie Village each August with a parade and festival drawing hundreds of thousands. Canada has recognized same-sex marriage since 2005, and Vancouver pairs its compact gay village with mountains, ocean, and a mild year-round climate.
