Gay Guide to Karlsruhe
Karlsruhe keeps a friendly, low-key queer scene rather than a flashy one, with reliable spots to go out across the city center. Café PRINZs is a popular bar for drinks and drag bingo, the Nachtwerk club hosts the long-running Rosapark gay nights, and Saunaland Aquarium covers the sauna crowd. CSD Karlsruhe is one of the first Prides of the German season, traditionally in early June, with roots going back to the city's first CSD in 1984. The parade runs from Rondellplatz to the central Marktplatz, followed by a festival at Stephanplatz.
