There is no gayborhood; queer nightlife runs on a handful of welcoming venues rather than a strip. Dudley's on Ann, repeatedly named the top LGBTQ+ bar in the state, is the anchor, joined by newer spots in the up-and-coming North Charleston area that broaden the scene beyond the peninsula.

Charleston Pride takes over for a week each fall, closing with a parade and rally, while nearby Park Circle Pride adds a second celebration across North Charleston.
