Gay Guide to Reykjavik
Reykjavik has a small but famously open scene, centered on Laugavegur, the main nightlife street. Kiki Queer Bar is the dedicated LGBTQ+ venue, running late on weekends, with Gaukurinn and Bravó also popular and most other bars naturally mixed. Reykjavik Pride, or Hinsegin Dagar, fills the city in early August, and its parade draws crowds equal to a large share of the national population. Iceland elected the world's first openly gay head of government, and the capital pairs a compact, walkable center with easy access to the country's landscapes.
