Same-sex marriage has been legal across all of Mexico since 2022, and Nuevo León's industrial capital, conservative by day, has a bigger and more varied scene after dark than its reputation suggests.
Most of it sits in the Centro, within walking distance of the Macroplaza. La Colorina Plus runs three floors of dancing and drag on Allende, Noa Noa on Madero and Muxets on Dr. Coss are built around their drag shows, and Napoleon, known simply as Napo, Prvert and Wateke cover the bars. Euphoria takes the club nights in Barrio Antiguo, the old quarter that doubles as the city's general nightlife district.
The bigger rooms are west of the centre: JACK in San Jerónimo runs several floors on weekends, and Japi on Calzada San Pedro serves the affluent suburb of San Pedro Garza García. Bruth 41 on Bernardo Reyes is the men-only bear and leather bar, and the Centro has an unusually dense run of men's cruising clubs and saunas, from La Casa de Leo and the three La Casita clubs to Sauna Ares and Stic.
The Marcha de la Diversidad reached its 25th edition in June 2026. Crowds gather in the afternoon at General Anaya metro station on Avenida Alfonso Reyes and march in the evening to the Explanada de los Héroes in front of the Government Palace.
