Gay Guide to Dundee
Dundee, on Scotland's east coast at the mouth of the Tay, has a small LGBTQ+ scene built around a few well-liked venues in the center. A friendly gay bar on Crichton Street and the Kandy Bar, named Scotland's best independent bar in 2014, are the regular meeting spots, with a nearby club drawing a student and local crowd. The scene is compact rather than a dedicated quarter, fitting a city better known for its waterfront, the V&A Dundee museum, and a strong university presence. Glasgow and Edinburgh hold the country's larger scenes a short train away.
