Gay Guide to Aberdeen
Aberdeen, Scotland's granite city on the North Sea coast, keeps a small but welcoming gay scene. CHEERZ has anchored it since 1996 and remains the main place for a night out in the city center, with one of the largest drink selections around. The scene is modest, more a handful of friendly venues than a nightlife district, in keeping with a working port city whose bigger queer neighbors are Glasgow and Edinburgh to the south. For visitors, it is easygoing and centered downtown, an easy add-on to a trip up the northeast coast.
